Harrison County Community Foundation Award
Assists LHDC Milltown Housing Residents

A grant awarded to Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC) in March, 2008 by the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) has enabled LHDC to purchase a new 2009, 12-passenger van for use in transporting residents of LHDC’s Milltown Housing for the Elderly Apartments development, located at 115 Spencer Street. The van replaces an older 1991 model van.
Larry K. Kleeman, LHDC Executive Director, said, “We are very appreciative of the Harrison County Community Foundation’s support. Without their assistance, we would not have been able to purchase this new van. We are thrilled to have a newer, safer and more reliable vehicle that should serve us, and the apartment residents, well for many years.”
The LHDC Milltown Housing for the Elderly Apartments opened in 1982 and provides 39 units of affordable housing for elderly and disabled residents. To learn more about these apartments, persons may contact the on-site manager, Beverly Oxley, at 812-633-4415 .
